979. Totèki also known as Kaku

‘Totèki’ or ‘Kaku’, our colorfully creepy Curaçao Gecko, lives in scrubby trees and munches on mosquitoes. This male Totèki fans his bright yellow and-orange dewlap to court the ladies and ward off attackers. We say: bring on more Totèki! to munch on our mosquitoes🙂

And a little family Salas tongue-twister,taught to my father  by our late uncle Abram E. Salas in the 1950s, exact origin unknown:

great site you have!!!!! Totèki’ & ‘Kaku’ are 2 different types of geckos. a Kaku is bigger than a Toteki.
