Nothing quite like a new haircut, hairdo, or hair color to reset us, boost our confidence, pep our step,  make us feel refreshed and energized… ready to take on the world.

So for the past three years Fundashon Pro Souax has subsidized new haircuts for school children in the Souax community on the Sunday before the start of the new school year. The campaign is called “Ban skol bèk nèchi pelá” and six local barbers from Souax participated in 2013. (Source: Amigoe Express)

Several other Curaçao barbershops have followed this campaign’s example, subsidizing or giving out free haircuts to over 300 of Curaçao’s school children in 2013.

Way to go back to school in style, Curaçao!

We wish all of school children the best of luck this new school year!!!
