958. Curaçao’s “Pacho” the Great Enviro-Portrait-Painter

Consider an oil barrel:

A steel drum worth 159 liters of crude oil. Sometimes recycled and re-used as trash can or percussion instrument in steel bands.

Our Frans (“Pacho”) Weber found a different, much more colorful, environmentally correct way to use the round lids of these steel drums. Pacho recycles round oil barrel lids and uses them as portrait canvases!

Pacho has done numerous caricature portraits, his subjects include Carnival Kings and Queens and influential political figures at various points in time, our Queen Beatrix, tourists blown away by his ingenuity, etc
