What to do
Hike Chrisoffel Berg, Curaçao’s Highest Point @ 1,292 feet
Sweat, blow off steam, meditate on interesting geological formations, lichens, beard moss, bromeliads and orchids along the way. Cliff hang for the last 50-100 feet or so. Then enjoy some of the most spectacular views of the island! Chill out. Hydrate. Maybe fool around. Breathe. Dream. Imagine. Breathe some more.
Afternoon Aloe Arrangement @ Hacienda La Bougainville
Located next to the rolling hills of the island’s Aloe Farm this bed & breakfast doesn’t just offer stunning views, but also scrub and wrap treatments using aloe straight off the farm. Arrangements include use of the pool, an aloe and fruit smoothie and more. (Contact person: Ineke)
Get a Massage @ One Day Wellness
One Day Wellness offers a variety of treatments, including Foot Reflexology, Thai Yoga Massage, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Full Body Massage. Post- treatment relaxing in the hammock under the palapa in the garden is highly recommended!
SUP Fitness Class @ Windsurfing Curaçao

Mountain Bike @ WannaBike
WannaBike organizes mountain bike tours in (literal!) off-the-beaten path areas unreachable by car. Whether beginner or very experienced, you’ll have a ton of fun.
Morning Yoga @ Yoga Centrum Curacao
This serene location in Soto oozes island charm, the perfect backdrop for a yoga or meditation session.
Where to stay
Brand-new Mondi Lodge is new on the island run by a young couple (Danita and Jairo) who oversee several palapa-style apartments, equipped with all the modern conveniences and stylishly furnished.
What to drink
A new juicery serving raw and healthy juices pressed from fresh fruits and vegetables. They also offer a small assortment of homemade organic salads, cakes and snack mix.
Special thanks to my friend Gaby Lieuw who runs the stunning site: Sand and Stilettos. Unlike ‘1000 Awesome Things about Curaçao’, Gaby’s site is a stylish travel guide filled with hidden Curaçao treasures (where to stay; Hacienda La Bougainville, Villa Horizon, Villa Rustique at Boca Gentil for boutique-style vacations, where to walk; historic Scharloo neighborhood, what to read; The House of Six Doors by Patricia Selbert, where to shop; Bamali etc.) If you’re planning a Curaçao vacation, Gaby will be sure to hook you up with a beautiful trip. Follow her on Facebook and Twitter to stay-up-to-date on all her latest discoveries.
Is this the real life? So beautiful!!! 😍😍😍
