848. Magic Johnson’s Curaçao Connection

Our very own Kenley Jansen (pitcher for the LA Dodgers and Director of KJ-74 Foundation) is looking to build on his KJ Hoops tournament. So he requested a meeting… with none other than basketball legend turned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and motivational speaker: Magic Johnson (who also happens to be part-owner of his team).

‏@MagicJohnson: Had a great mtg w/ outstanding @Dodgers reliever, Kenley Jansen about his work in Curaçao http://say.ly/AMq4wxp

Magic was so touched after seeing videos of our sports complex Niels Liberia (not awesome) and understood that our amazing athletic potential is on the verge of being developed.

The meeting was a slam dunk.

Magic wants to join Banco di Caribe, Refineria Isla and SOAB in backing the renovation of our sports complex (basketball, soccer, track field). He’ll be visiting in January 2013 to oversee several projects… and word has it some LA Lakers will join to host basketball clinics!

Dream big.

Be cray.

There’s no other way!
