629. Curaçao Street Names

At least there’s a theme. (Near ‘Rooi Santu’, translation: Holy Area Between Two Butt Cheeks.)

‘Kaya Telefon’ feels left out.

Shared this with our Facebook crew:

Larry spotted a typo, it should really be ‘Kaya Lèptop’.

The rest of us are anxiously awaiting ‘Kaya Feisbuk’, ‘Kaya Laik’ and ‘Kaya ONLAIK’, ‘Kaya Ping’ and ‘Kaya Blèkbèri’, ‘Kaya Wòtsèp’ not to mention ‘Kaya Aipèt’, ‘Kaya Aifon’ and ‘Kaya èpèl’.

A few others:

– Kent Uzelf z/n (zonder nummer) [transl. from Dutch: ‘Know Yourself (no number)’]

– Kaya Tuturutu (pron. Too-too-roo-too is a Peacock’s Tail, a local flower)

– Tinwegstraat (transl. from Dutch: Tin Way Street)

– Santa Rosaweg A, Santa Rosaweg B, Santa Rosaweg C

– Kaya Dal Pega (transl. Cling Street)

– Kaya Kasèt (wonder if there’s also a Kaya Mixed Tape?)

– Kaya Semikok (yep.)

– Kaya Mamòndènge na Mahuma (Kaya Wasp in the ‘I smoke’ vicinity)

– Kaya Bolopretu (Kaya Black Cake aka Bride’s Fruit Cake)

Our friends over at Tuna Creative Agency pointed this one out today. More info: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tuna/567654869929058
